Wild Steps builds community through participatory music, dance, storytelling, and humanities programs rooted in living traditions. Through research, performance, and shared cultural experiences, we connect people across generations and backgrounds while bringing regional heritage into public life.

Wild Steps envisions communities where music, movement, and story bring people together, keeping cultural traditions alive while inspiring creativity, learning, and human connection.
We are committed to researching, recreating, and reviving Southwest (and especially present-day Arizona) traditions of music and dance and making these accessible across ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
